Dr. Revathi Prasad is a highly experienced Obstetrician, Gynecologist, and Infertility Specialist with over two gdecades of expertise in women’s healthcare. She currently serves as the Joint Medical Director of Sakhii Hospital, a leading center for women and child care in Bangalore. Renowned for her compassionate approach and commitment to evidence-based medicine, she specializes in high-risk pregnancy management, infertility treatments, and advanced gynecological procedures.
Dr. Prasad obtained her MBBS from Devaraj Urs Medical College, Kolar (1995) and DGO from JSS Medical College, Mysore (2000). She completed her ULTRASOUND training at Diwakara hospital under dr dr Chitra Ganesh (2006), equipping her with expertise in fetal imaging and infertility assessment
She further specialized in Reproductive Medicine, earning a fellowship from Keil University, Germany (2010), and later pursuing an IVF Fellowship at Cloud & Fertility Center, Bangalore (2024) under the mentorship of Dr. Prashanth Joshi And Additionally, she completed Ultrasound Training at Diwakar Hospital (2006), equipping her with expertise in fetal imaging and infertility assessments.
Dr. Prasad has been practicing as a Senior Consultant in Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Infertility at Sakhii Hospital since 2012. Prior to this, she worked as a Consultant from 2001 to 2012 at various reputed hospitals, including WOMEN’s centre at Ramakrishna hospital at Coimbatore under Dr mridhubhashini govindarahan FRCOG
Lalbagh Nursing Home (under Dr. Vidhyamani Lingegowda, FRCOG, UK), Republic Hospital, Cradle, Agadi Hospital, Karthik Nursing Home, Women’s Clinic (Bangalore Dairy Circle), and Women & Child Care, Infertility Clinic at BTM Layout. She has also served as a Visiting Consultant at Malathi Manipal Hospital, Rainbow Hospital, and Apollo Hospital, further expanding her experience in managing diverse and complex cases. Earlier in her career, she gained valuable training as a Junior Resident at Gunasheela Maternity and Research Hospital, refining her skills in maternal and reproductive healthcare.
Dr. Prasad is an expert in high-risk pregnancy managementf, with a special focus on recurrent pregnancy loss, Antiphospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APAS), and bad obstetric history. She is also proficient in infertility management, handling cases up to IUI and IVF protocols, along with minimally invasive gynecological surgeries, including diagnostic & operative laparoscopies, LAVH (Laparoscopic-Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy), and conservative management of ectopic pregnancy. Her expertise in transvaginal and pelvic ultrasounds, follicular scans, and early and late obstetric imaging plays a crucial role in both routine and high-risk pregnancy care.
Dr. Prasad is fluent in Telugu, English, Kannada, Tamil, and Hindi, enabling her to effectively communicate with a diverse patient population.
